Why Rosen Orlando Shingle Creek was the Perfect Choice

Why We Chose Rosen Orlando:

For a couple of years now, I’ve had my eye on Rosen Orlando Shingle Creek. The sprawling resort amenities kept calling my name, and finally โ€” over Easter weekend (also my birthday weekend!) โ€” we pulled the trigger and booked a stay.

There happened to be a phenomenal rate available that weekend, likely because the resort relies heavily on the connected convention center business. With conventions being low due to the holiday, we snagged an incredible $150 per night rate. (Normal prices are much higher!)

There was a parking fee, but with the spa access package we bought, self-parking was half price โ€” just $14 instead of the usual $28. Valet was available too for $45 if you wanted to splurge.

We chose self-park, and it was perfectly fine. Thereโ€™s a complimentary shuttle to the main lobby, but honestly, the walk was easy and pleasant.

First Impressions on Rosen Orlando Shingle Creek: Elegance, Not Disney

Check-in ran smoothly, and the hospitality at Rosen Shingle Creek blew us away from the very start. The open, tropical lobby immediately transported me. It didnโ€™t feel like Orlando โ€” it felt like we had landed somewhere on a Caribbean island.

Unlike the playful Disney energy you find elsewhere in Orlando, Rosen Shingle Creek has an air of elegant sophistication. I loved that.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Strolling Through the Luxury at Rosen Orlando

Steve and I were blown away by how beautiful the grounds at Rosen Orlando were.
Everywhere you looked, there were elegant water fountains, fresh green landscaping, and a calm, luxurious vibe that made it feel like a true escape.

Itโ€™s the kind of place where just walking around feels like part of the vacation.

Rosen Shingle Creek 2 Queen Room:

We were assigned room 13110 on the 13th floor, and the view was pure magic. We overlooked downtown Orlando, and at night, the skyline lit up in colors from nearby theme parks and the iconic Orlando Ferris Wheel. We found our accomidations at Rosen Orlando Shingle Creek to be spacious, clean and very comfortable.

Definitely a room view worth asking for! The higher the better for us.

Pool Day Bliss with Rosen Shingle Creek, Orlando, Florida

The next afternoon was all about relaxing poolside at this Rosen Orlando Resort. After all, that’s what I craved for a perfect birthday weekend. A relaxing pool and a fruity drink. I was not disappointed.

We grabbed chairs at the main pool, right next to Cat-Tails Pool Bar. Bonus: full poolside service until 5 PM. You donโ€™t even have to leave your lounge chair to enjoy lunch or drinks.

  • The main pool was heated (yes, please!)
  • Families flocked to the zero-entry pool
  • The lap pool was peaceful and perfect if you wanted quiet time
  • Thereโ€™s even a separate kiddie pool for little ones

There was also a hot tub tucked behind the main pool, but fair warning: like most resorts, it was packed with kids. If you’re looking for a quieter soak, the spa hot tub is adults-only.

Dining at Rosen Orlando Shingle Creek: So Many Choices!

One of our favorite things about Rosen Shingle Creek? You can park your car and never leave the property.

The resort boasts 15 restaurants and lounges. Seriously, youโ€™re spoiled for choice:

  • We had lunch poolside (Cat-Tails Grille) โ€” the Power Bowl was fantastic, and my go-to drink, the Cabana Punch, hit the spot.
  • For dinner, we enjoyed a cozy, authentic meal at Cala Bella, the Italian restaurant onsite.
  • Cafe Osceola breakfast was a classic buffett or you can order off the menu.
  • Need a snack or coffee? 18 Monroe Street Market has you covered with snacks, pizza, quick bites and ice cream.

At Rosen Orlando, youโ€™ll find a wide range of dining options right on property โ€” from a high-end steakhouse to delicious Mexican fare, burger joints, coffee shops, and casual bars.
Donโ€™t make the mistake we almost did! Many great restaurants are tucked away along the concourse leading to the convention center, so be sure to explore beyond the main lobby area and pool.

Other Highlights That were Stand-out Amenities:

Fresh Garden on the property of Rosen

Dog-Friendly:
We didnโ€™t bring Mr. Jax this time (he stayed with his favorite sitter Vickie), but next time heโ€™s definitely coming!

Golf Course:
Steve spent half the trip daydreaming about picking up golf after seeing the stunning course.

Nature Trail:
There’s a peaceful loop trail behind the resort property โ€” but beware, the โ€œcaution: snakes and alligatorsโ€ signs arenโ€™t kidding. We even spotted a snake! ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Architecture:
Walking the nature trail and seeing the towering Spanish-style architecture from a distance added to the majesty of the experience.

A Tiny Miss in an Otherwise Perfect Stay

If I had only one tiny miss during our stay, it would be that despite the excellent service, I wish someone had acknowledged my birthday. (I literally told everyone)
Itโ€™s a small thing โ€” and Iโ€™m not asking for a song, I promise! ๐Ÿ˜‚ โ€” but a complimentary drink or dessert would have been a sweet touch that kicked the experience up a notch.
Still, it was a wonderful stay, and that minor detail wonโ€™t stop us from visiting again.

Final Thoughts:

If you’re looking for a relaxing Orlando getaway that feels more like a luxury Caribbean escape than a theme park circus, Rosen Shingle Creek delivers.

The hospitality was flawless, the amenities were amazing, and the value we got was just unbeatable.

Although we only stayed two nights, it definitely wasnโ€™t long enough to experience everything this incredible property has to offer.
From the pools to the dining to the relaxing atmosphere, we barely scratched the surface.
Rosen Orlando exceeded all our expectations, and weโ€™re already planning a return visit to enjoy even more of what makes this resort so special.
